Vision for Atlantic City

Atlantic City is recognized and appreciated as a national and international treasure, both by its residents and visitors.

Our City offers a safe, secure and healthy environment, which strikes a balance among neighborhood preservation, economic development and tourism.

Diversity is valued as a community resource. Every citizen is respected for his or her uniqueness, regardless of race, gender, ethnic origin or religious beliefs.

A high quality education is required for every student in our public schools. In addition, opportunities are provided for all citizens to become life-long learners and to achieve their personal, education, social and employment goals.

After-school and weekend recreation, technology, youth clubs and organized sports programs are provided for our students and young residents. Safe havens provide appropriate environments to stimulate additional growth and development of our youth.

Residents are encouraged and assisted to take full advantage of their rights to equal employment, adequate healthcare, affordable housing, fair taxation and equal compassionate care for senior citizens.

City employees must be competent public servants who are courteous, understanding and helpful and maintain the highest standards of quality, commitment and integrity.
