Biography
Mohammed Z Islam began service with the City of Atlantic City on July 14, 2003 as a Senior Accountant. In the year 2010, he moved to the Mercantile office as the Assistant Director of Licensing. As director of the division, he is responsible for reviewing and approving all mercantile business owner licenses such as Store Owner License, Casino Hotel License, Taxi License, Limousines License and other licenses.

Mohammed has an impressive educational background; specifically he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. He also completed 2nd year (B.S Honors) in Statistics from Chittagong University, Bangladesh.
Additional Details
Mohammed Z. Islam is originally from Bangladesh and he has been an Atlantic City resident since 1993. Locally, he is active with Bangladeshi and other communities. He is and has been the President of Bangladesh Association of South Jersey (a NJ Nonprofit Corporation) since 2008. Mohammed is Vice President of the Muslim Community Center of South Jersey and also Vice President of the Bangladeshi-American Lions Club of Atlantic City.
